2. Definitions
- “CIMDS” refers to the Cayman Islands Medical and Dental Society, a professional body registered in the Cayman Islands.
- “Member” refers to any medical doctor or dentist registered on the Cayman Islands Principal List who holds an active CIMDS membership.
- “Services” refers to all features provided through the CIMDS website, including but not limited to the member directory, event management, news, documents, and billing.
- “Website” refers to the CIMDS website accessible at cimds.org.ky and all associated subdomains.
3. Membership Eligibility
Membership in CIMDS is exclusively available to medical doctors and dentists who are licensed on the Cayman Islands Health Practice Commission's Principal List. By registering for membership, you confirm that you meet this eligibility requirement. CIMDS reserves the right to verify your credentials and revoke membership if eligibility criteria are not met.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activities conducted under your account.
- Ensuring that your profile information is accurate, current, and complete.
- Notifying CIMDS immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
5. Membership Fees
CIMDS membership is billed on an annual basis. The membership fee is determined by the CIMDS Executive Committee and is subject to change with reasonable notice. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise determined by the Committee. Accepted payment methods include wire transfer, credit card, direct deposit, cheque, online banking, and cash.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the CIMDS website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of CIMDS or its content suppliers and is protected by Cayman Islands and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without prior written consent.
7. Member Directory
Members may opt in or out of the public directory. Information displayed in the directory is provided by members and CIMDS does not guarantee its accuracy. The directory information must not be used for unsolicited commercial communications or any purpose other than locating a healthcare professional.
8. Limitation of Liability
CIMDS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the website or services. The website is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, express or implied.
9. Termination
CIMDS reserves the right to suspend or terminate your membership and access to the website at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the services will immediately cease.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Cayman Islands. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Cayman Islands.
11. Changes to Terms
CIMDS reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the website following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
